Waves of Unity with Nima Yazdanfar (Guest Teacher)

Guest Teacher on 6/28!

5Rhythms is a transformative moving meditation practice created by Gabrielle Roth. It’s rooted in the idea that movement is medicine — a path to healing, expression, and connection.

The practice is based on five distinct rhythms:

1. Flowing – grounded, circular movements; connects us to the feminine, to the earth, to ourselves.

2. Staccato – sharp, percussive movement; ignites clarity, direction, and emotional expression.

3. Chaos – wild, releasing movement; helps us let go and surrender to the moment.

4. Lyrical – light, expansive movement; brings joy, creativity, and connection with others.

5. Stillness – slow, deep movement; invites presence, awareness, and integration.

Together, these rhythms form what’s called a “Wave” a journey that mirrors the cycles of life, nature, and our emotions. There are no steps to learn, no right or wrong moves — only your body’s unique expression in each rhythm.

How does it work?

You move through the five rhythms guided by music and a teacher (or in self-practice). Over time, the practice helps you:

• Release stress and tension

• Deepen self-awareness

• Connect with your body and emotions

• Cultivate presence and authenticity

• Feel more alive, free, and embodied
