Nima's path into movement began during a profound personal transformation in 2018. UNIFY: A 5Rhythms Exploration of the Mature Masculine
Connected Visionary Focused Empowering
These qualities of the mature masculine are subverted by the patriarchy, the lying politician, the abusive lover, and the gangster; symptomatic of a society that disproportionately reveres the boy masquerading as man. The immature masculine has its place in the vital and vibrant spark of boyhood. When it fails to develop and takes the place of mature masculine awareness and leadership in the actions of men and perceptions of women, all are wounded.
In this weekend Waves workshop for all people, we will try on the many shapes of the masculine, tapping our body intelligence to sift and move the stories and patterns, and distilling the essence of our present awareness of masculine energy into embodied action.

This autumnal season of darkness, of lengthening nights and diminishing light holds us in an essential energy, an intuitive space of regeneration and inner growth. The coming season of winter brings with it the return of the light, and a long period of rest for many forms of life in this hemisphere. Sap slows, heart rates drop into hibernation, birds absent themselves to warmer climates, emptying the skies. Crisp leaves rest on the forest floor as the ground grows cold. This soothing season of release and bounty, of shorter days and cooling winds, delights us in an exuberant display of color and abundance, a reflective space of gratitude and luciferous change. The coming season of autumn brings a shift into decidedly cooler and longer nights; a time for harvesting, fruition, and transition for many forms of life in this hemisphere. Leaves brighten, crisp and fall. Melancholy musings turn our focus inward as the space between the possibilities of Summer and emptiness of Winter arrives. Fruit and leaves begin to litter the forest floor as their bodies nourish whatever grows next. Some of us venture out into the wilds while the temperate weather persists, gathering around fires, with practices that acknowledge and give thanks. Some return to learning and the halls and chambers of curiosity, reconfiguring families and offering new opportunities to the next generations.

In this periodic movement laboratory, we will explore the 5Rhythms® practice through a specific lens. Each inquiry is an opportunity to reconnect our embodied selves to the patterns and currents that move around and through us. Offering diverse and expansive musical inspiration and facilitation, Jeffrey will guide participants through the 5Rhythms® Waves map:
Flowing: the practice of Fluidity, the gift of knowing
Staccato: the practice of Definition, the gift of expression
Chaos: the practice of Release, the gift of transformation
Lyrical: the practice of Connection, the gift of lightness
Stillness: the practice of Emptiness, the gift of wisdom
This class will be held at a gorgeous private home studio in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Located about 5 minutes from Foxfield, off of Barracks/Garth Road with scenic mountain views, a sprung floor, and an exquisitely inspired space.
